Landslide of Sindhupalchok kills 33 people till now

Landslide in Jure village of Sindhupalchok district has killed 33 people and destroyed 57 houses till Monday as per the home ministry of Nepal.  Among those 33 people, 21 are females and 12 are males according to Gopal Parajuli, CDO of Sindhupalchok district. He also said that 120 people are still missing.
Families of the dead receive NRS. 40000 per dead from district disaster relief fund. Nepal Army personnels are trying to drain out the landslide dammed lake. However, the chance of outburst of landslide dammed lake has increased because of rain in Sunday night.
However, those people from Okhaldhunga, Solukhumbu and Khotang who ran away because of fear of outburst have started to return to their houses.

The highway to Kathmandu from Sindhupalchok has been closed by the government of Nepal and an alternative feasible route is being searched by the officials from government.
