Three parties agree to extend deadline for settling issues

The major three parties of Constituent Assembly of Nepal i.e. Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, CPN- Maoists have agreed to extend the deadline for settling unsettled issues of the new constitution. The meeting of three parties held today in Kathmandu asked Constituent Assembly for the extension in deadline which ends today.

Extension of deadlines are frequently asked by these parties to Constituent Assembly. However, this was the first time in second CA that parties have asked for extension in deadlines. In the first CA, extension in deadlines were given so many times to those parties and still they could not draft a new constitution. Let us hope this will be the first and last time they have asked for it in second Constituent Assembly.
